Engineers Without Borders
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a nonprofit international organization with chapter offices on the University of Illinois campus. Working on campus and on the ground in the host country, students from a variety of majors partner with host villages in domestic and international locations to plan and implement sustainable engineering projects that improve the lives of peoples who live in deprivation. Students will work on international education, which will include filling an unmet need for the organization since the long-term success of engineering projects depends on a vibrant community education program. This opportunity is especially appealing to Illinois students with an interest in international education, community development, human rights, sustainability, and engineering.
